Description
10-12″ tall x 14-16″ wide. When Salvia sylvestris ‘Little Night’ blooms in late spring, you’ll be caught staring. The eye-catching display of dark purple-violet flower spikes, tightly arranged over the tidy, blue-green mound of foliage is outstanding. Re-blooming in late summer, the compact plant grows readily in any type of soil including clay. It is also long-lived, waterwise, and heat and cold tolerant. Its small size makes it useful along pathways and driveways, at the front of perennial beds and in rock gardens. Combine it with other small growing perennials and you’ll discover ‘Little Night’s charm and versatility in the garden; the deeply colored flowers look great with everything. ‘Little Night’ is the tiny version of one of the world’s most popular perennials, Salvia ‘May Night’. Javelina Resistant. 2015 HCG Plant of the Year.
